Access to university should not be limited by race or social class, unfortunately this is not the case for all in our society. All should have access to an outstanding academic experience.

Education and knowledge have the power to transform a person’s life.

While many issues are at play in why more Black British students do not enter university – the Cowrie Scholarship Foundation seeks to address one part of the jigsaw – the financial cost of university education.

Your support of the Cowrie Scholarship Foundation will change the lives of 100 Black students and to start this transformation, our target is £500,000.

It is the young who will take us away from the various institutionalised positions / culture that we find ourselves in.

Your support of the Cowrie* Scholarship Foundation will transform the lives of 100 Black British students and move us away from warm words to real change.

Your money will equip the next generation of young Black individuals with the education to make a difference in their lives, our lives and the world.

The aim over the next 10 years (2021 to 2031) is to raise funds and develop partnerships with our universities, to enable 100 talented Black British disadvantaged students, to attend university with financial barriers removed.
